Availability levels
Anything not listed on this page is available to every Lightdash user on every plan — including dbt write-back from the Custom Metric and SQL Runner menus, which is gated by project role rather than by plan.
AI features
The AI add-on covers most of this section, and some features need an Enterprise plan on top of it. The badges say what each one takes.Administration and governance
Google Workspace SSO is available on every plan — see the provider matrix for the full breakdown.
Data and platform
Turning features on
On Lightdash Cloud, plan features are active as soon as your plan includes them. A few need an organization admin to switch them on — Issues and the Metrics SQL API — and a few are enabled by the Lightdash team on request, including results caching, thread retention, and embedding. On a self-hosted instance, every Enterprise feature needs two things: a validLIGHTDASH_LICENSE_KEY on all containers, and that feature’s own environment flag. The key alone enables nothing. Enterprise features covers both, with a dedicated setup page for the larger ones — AI agents, data apps, AI writeback, MCP, and pre-aggregates.
